Property Tax Consultation

Did you know you may be paying too much in property taxes?

Your property tax is based on two components, the municipal tax rate and the assessed value returned by the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation.   In it’s 2010 review of the MPAC, the Office of the Auditor General of Ontario found that of the 11,500 properties they surveyed, one in eight had assessed values that differed from the sale price by more than 20%.*  This means that you may be paying tax on an incorrect value.

At R. A. Critchlow Realty Inc., we have the knowledge and experience to review your assessment and determine if a reduction may be warranted.  If so, we can handle the entire Request for Reconsideration process negotiating with and presenting evidence to MPAC on your behalf.

Contact us today for a review of your current assessment and what the 2013 reassessment might mean for your property taxes.
